The whole herb of eclipta contains 1.32% saponin, 0.08% nicotinic acid, tannin, vitamin A, e. prostrata, various thiophene compounds, acetic acid (butene-3-acetylene-1-group) dithiophenyl methanol ester and so on.

Intraderolactone (epg), decomethyl epg (epg), and decomethyl epg (epg) -7-glucosinolactone (SWG) are contained in lotus leaves of intraderone sinensis.

Clinical Application:

(1) Treatment of diphtheria.

(2) Treatment of tuberculosis hemoptysis.

(3) Cure dysentery.

(4) Prevent and treat paddy field dermatitis.
